Activities are at the heart and soul of Briarlea's core values. We have an ever evolving activities programme to suit the needs, capabilities and preferences of all our residents which is revised on a monthly basis. Activities range from quiet one-to-one sessions to larger group events.

One-to-one sessions include such activities as: a game of dominoes, computer skills, reminiscence sessions, walks in the garden, collecting fresh eggs from our chickens, feeding and bathing our guinea pigs and, for those that wish, domestic activities (laying tables, helping with laundry, etc.) to mention a few.

Group activities take the form of: arts and crafts, quizzes, film afternoons, group reminiscence, gardening, exercise classes, live entertainment, sing-a-longs, cake baking and much more.

At Briarlea we strive to keep residents engaged and as active as possible. Whether that's taking part in one of our dedicated activities coordinator's activities, helping out with the running of the home working alongside carers, visiting our hairdresser for a weekly pamper, or simply relaxing with a book and cup of tea or watching the passersby. There really is something for everyone.
